Spiral 1

Atelier de la gare, Locminé, residency and exhibition, 2014.
Cultural Center le CAP, Plérin, 2015. France.

396 X 217 cm. Steel (on the floor), copper (compasses).

Spiral 1 is a flat sculpture whose two epicenters are overlooked by compasses.
The participant can follow the convolutions of the maze, one foot in front of the other. Having reached one of the two centers, if it stops for a while, the compass above him/her begins to rotate independently of the air currents.
It manifests the magnetic field of the experimenter, with all the more speed as he or she has scrupulously followed the layout of the labyrinth.
The layout and route of the labyrinth are inspired by megalithic glyphs and their “reading” which was done by physically following the curves with the hands or the whole body: precise information was thus communicated through the involvement of the body, leading in particular to synchronization of brain areas.

Spiral 2 floor (here without the walls) extends the circumvolutionary tremor of Spiral 1
