TDB - Mists transport

Sculpture + vidéo

Fine Art museum, Saint-Brieuc, 2007.

Acrylic resin, video projection with sound. 260 X 180 cm. Video 12 minutes loop.
Cast of a rock of the Bay of Saint-Brieuc making angle in a room.
Video projection of a high tide filmed at the opposite end of the Bay.

The sculpture brings together two elements from two geographically opposite locations of the Bay, revealing the original continuity of the site at the time of Pangea, while Brittany was located at the southern latitude.
The great tide filmed seems to emanate from the rock, like its anima. The rock is no longer an inert object, but a sensor of memory, an intercessor towards a space-time both imaginary and geological.
The course of the day and its perpetual return produce a meditative effect, a deep reverie transporting to a cyclical and ancestral temporality, a prima natura.
